Bobcat examples please
« on: October 03, 2011, 11:03:06 AM »
So i just got my first bobcat yesterday while elk hunting with my muzzleloader. I would love to get this lifesize mount but might not be able to afford it. I might have to go with a rug. I would like to go with one of the sponsered taxidermist on here.

Can you guys please post some bobcat work that you have done? Either rug/shoulder/lifesize.
Doesnt matter. lets see them. If you want to include your going rates that would be great as well.

Thank you.

The100Road,

If you would like to have a Life Size done and think you can't afford it there are some things to think about.

Most taxidermists have a 1 year turn around.  So you have some time to save up the $$.  There are some taxidermists that will let you make payments.  Also there are taxidermists that will buy Capes from you if you harvest a decent buck or bull.  You can use that as shop credit toward your mount.

As far as price goes.  Life Size Bobcats start at $675.  Rugs are $525.

I'd post some photos but my laptop that has them on it is in the shop.  The hard Drive went out in it. :bash:

Lets say $450 to get started..

Yeah, I have become a huge fan of charlies and will for sure be taking future deer and elk to him. I havent been able to check my email for his pricing yet. I believe you get what you pay for im just not sure I can afford as great as work as his.

Cats are VERY hard to make look good.  You really need to have some skills.

I'm going to hurt some feelings, but there is nobody on this site that I'd pay to do a cat for me.

A deer or elk, yes,a cat no way.
