pintails, mallards and some geese
« on: January 08, 2012, 07:56:39 AM »
hunted out in Grays Harbor yesterday had lots of ducks in the early a.m., then a bit later in the day the geese finally showed up . had one big flock come in and we took 4 big canada's from that flock, then we had an even bigger flock of canada's circle us a few times and we working really hard with our calls and had them very low too and they then went to circle one more time and a couple of jerks sky busted em on the outside of our land and just bearly hit a few geese but not enough to take them down. we were still happy with the amount of birds in general, i only got a mallard drake and 1 canada and thats enough to make some good old bacon wrapped duck skewers so im more than happy

If you can't play with the big dogs then STAY on the porch.

sounds a lot better than i've been doing out on the bay...there hasn't been anything but buffleheads flying for the past month or so...
you can still get gas in heaven, and a drink in kingdom come,
in the meantime, i'll be cleaning my gun

I'm not shy! I can't stand sky busters! Learn how to get em close or don't shoot! To many crippled unretrieved birds damn it! :bash:
What would life be without the thrill of the hunt?
