I had some left over from helping a friend build a boat. I think that it is the same density that they use in taxidermy forms, but not sure. It was 12 or so years ago. I have been thinking about researching different foams and making a few but square. I had a couple that were a little bigger than footballs for kicking then random shooting but they are all beaten up. I got the idea from a guy at the old archery shop that was on Jackson Highway in Chehalis years ago.
Very cool target PolarBear! I will be needing a new bh target this season so i think i will give this a try.
Where do you get this foam?
Is this the foam you guys are using? http://greatstuff.dow.com/

I bought a bunch of fiberglass and gel coat materials from them a couple of years ago and they are good folks to deal with. That is where I'm going for the foam to build some new targets later this summer.http://www.fiberlay.com/
