As we all know, there is a lot of propaganda out there on both sides of the fence.  There are many videos that have statements taken out of context, then edited together to deliver whatever message the editor wants to convey.  However, one irrefutable fact about the Obama administration is that they are anti-gun.  Since this is a hunting oriented forum, one can presume that most people taking part in the forum will vote FOR candidates that will protect the Second Amendment, protect our rights to hunt and fish, protect our rights to defend ourselves, protect our private property rights, protect our access to public lands, and protect our Constitution from degradation from domestic influences (research the voting records) and International influences (i.e. the United Nations).

That said, it is still a free country, so you can vote for whoever you wish to vote for.  Just remember, YOU are voting for Representatives to represent YOU.  Beware of propaganda, because it is all around us.  Do your research into facts.

The NRA-PVF states the following regarding their grading of candidates:

“The NRA-PVF is non-partisan in issuing its candidate grades and endorsements. We do not base our decisions on a candidate's party affiliation, but rather on his or her record on Second Amendment issues. The NRA is a single issue organization. The only issues on which we evaluate candidates seeking elected office are gun-related issues.”

Again, here is the link to the NRA-PVF site with their assessment of the Washington state candidates

http://www.nrapvf.org/grades-endorsements/2012/washington.aspx

For those that would like to dig a little deeper into candidate information; here is a good link.

http://votesmart.org/

In my opinion, candidates that consistently protect our Second Amendment rights, also tend protect our rights to hunt and fish, protect our rights to defend ourselves, protect our private property rights, protect our access to public lands, and protect our Constitution from degradation from domestic influences (research the voting records) and International influences (i.e. the United Nations).   They will get my vote, unless there is a very good reason to vote differently.

There's a lot at stake in the elections this year.

There's a worse side to this.

The gun owners who voted for Obama and continue to vote for politicians who vote against their gun and hunting rights. These people can always be heard advocating that "Less is the new More" and that "we have to be satisfied with a shrinking opportunity" and "I don't mind a little inconvenience to buy a gun" and other such claptrap.

Any of you that DID NOT VOTE, rest assured that your vote could have made a difference.

PLEASE VOTE IN THE GENERAL ELECTION IN NOVEMBER.

In 2006, there were nearly 180,000 hunters in this state according to the USFWS.

We can turn things around IF ALL HUNTERS VOTE.

http://vote.wa.gov/results/current/Turnout.html

Registered voters: 3,731,655
Total ballots counted to Date (8-9-12): 1,096,567

VOTER TURNOUT as of 8-9-12:   29.39%

As of 8-10-12 there are still 115,461 ballots on hand to be processed; this is approximately 3.1% of registered voters.

Voter turnout has been updated to 34.91% as of 8-10-12.  Adding the ballots to be processed would indicate a total voter turnout of approximately 38%.

This means approximately 62% of registered voters DID NOT VOTE.

62% of 180,000 hunters = 111,600 votes.

If you look at the primary election results you will see that 111,600 votes would have made a difference.

http://vote.wa.gov/results/current/StateExecutive-All.html

Look at the race for Governor:

Candidate                                                   Vote                 Vote %

Rob McKenna (Prefers Republican Party)        554,303             43.28%

Jay Inslee      (Prefers Democratic Party)       599,135             46.78%

Those of you that did not vote will have a second chance to make a difference in the General Election in November.  You can only make a difference if you vote.  Urge your friends and family to vote as well.

If we go with the statistics and apply them to the Washington licensed hunter population, over 100,000 licensed hunters DID NOT VOTE in the primary.  If any of you reading this post know of any people in the hunting population that DID NOT VOTE in the primary, please explain to them it is our freedoms we voting to protect.  If we don't get the right people to represent us at all levels of government our freedoms will continue to be whittled away.  It's up to us to urge ALL of our family, friends, and colleagues to VOTE.  Put the peer pressure on.  We can make a huge difference in the outcome of the election if ALL HUNTERS VOTE.

Watch the video.  Think about it.

If you're pro Obama.... please don't vote

One more Supreme Court Justice from him and our gun rights will be gone.

This is an excellent link to the Republican Platform.  It should take you directly to the Republican position on the Second Amendment.

Take a look at "The Fifth Amendment: Protecting Private Property" as well.

Here's another article worth reading:

GOP Adopts Strongly Pro-Gun Platform

Please make sure you, your family, your friends, and your colleagues are ALL registered to vote.  Urge ALL to vote this November, and make sure to vote for representatives that will protect our rights and our freedoms.  Volunteer and contribute if you can.  This election isn't about Republicans and Democrats; it's about keeping our rights, our freedoms, and the restoration of our Constitutional Government we have fought to protect for over two-hundred years.

What is APATHY?

Merriam-Webster Dictionary: “Definition of APATHY. 1: lack of feeling or emotion: impassiveness. 2: lack of interest or concern: indifference.”

APATHY has infected our country when it comes to protecting our rights and freedoms.  Too many people on both sides of the political fence, citizens and elected representatives, seem to have forgotten why we are a free people in a free nation.  Many seem to have forgotten the rights and freedoms guaranteed to us by our Constitution and Bill of Rights.  Too many people just kick back and let others fight the battles to protect those rights and freedoms.

Our rights and our freedoms are being whittled away, piece-by-piece, at national, state, and local levels.  Republicans, Democrats, and Independents must understand we are ALL in this together.  ALL people need to WAKE UP and recognize what is happening all around us.  There is no room for APATHY in a free country if we wish to remain free.  The Constitution and Bill of Rights are the guiding documents that keep us a free people.  We need to ensure that the representatives we elect are committed to protect and uphold the Constitution and Bill of Rights.  We need to ensure the representatives we elect will truly represent us, “We the People”.

There are two movies that ALL should see: One is a documentary that reveals some very interesting facts about our current president.  The other is a story that many people will deeply relate to.  There are important messages in both movies.  Please take the time to see them.

WAKE UP AMERICA!
