pibald deer
« on: September 08, 2012, 08:23:10 PM »
I saw my first pibald deer yesterday in the evening and am pretty excited about it. It was a beautiful doe, but I didn't get any pictures. I don't think I would shoot one if all was legal.  Would others shoot a pibald?

Yes!! Then you can admire the cape long after it would have rotted someplace in the woods

Yes.  I've seen enough of them that it wouldn't hurt my feelings.  I think I have seen atleast 7 or 8 personally.

The only reference in the game laws is for albino deer. These do not meet the discription.

I think they are legal to shoot as long as you meet antler points discriptions but I may be wrong.

Camano Island had some deer that looked similar at one time.

I have seen a piebald doe 2 different times in the Yakima river canyon a few years ago. Almost hit her in my work truck!

I'd have that doe mounted if I had a tag and saw her..... I think.  She's real pretty.  I may let her live.... flip a coin?
