Ghosthunter,
I've seen your camp up in Umtanum the last couple of years.  Your avatar was my key.  Good luck to you, but leave a couple for me and my son :chuckle: :chuckle:

oh we never shoot them all. In fact we really dont care if we shoot one at all. We just like getting away from life for a while. Solved lots of world problems sitting in that blind. darn elk disrupt my thinking by walking by.  Stop in, we will buy you a soda. :hello: And if you time it just right a peice of fresh baked pie. Our old ground pounder spends the am on stand and the pm making pies.

Thats why we hunt there. The action is slow and the elk few. Dont want to muddle things up to badly by having to take care of elk.

If we take the ground pound er some where he actually sees animals it cuts into his pie baking which interncuts into our pie eatting.

To my fellow Skagit Co. hunter, good luck! I will be hunting across from you on manastash. My son and I will be trying to fill cow tags. I have a feeling it may be a tough hunt, not sure. Good luck.

did you have signs/markers on the road giving directions to your camp last year?  If so, I followed them for awhile out of curiousity but didn't follow them for long.  was out for a drive with the family and seen them, good luck this year and have fun.

Good luck this year,  we have a cow tag in that area as well and camp not to far from you.  My daughter and I met you in the woods shortly after someone in your group shot a spike in 2010.  Thanks for letting her enjoy your success.  This will be her first year carrying a gun and she is excited.  We should be up there about the same time as you.  It can't get here soon enough.

Good luck ghost camp I too recognized the signs from following them for a while last year. They match your avatar. There are some pretty creative camps along the road on the way up to where we were last year. Always interesting to see how others do it thanks for sharing the pics.
