are there any public lands that keep the gates closed for rifle deer?!
Does anybody know of a unit with closed gates this year?

I don't know of any open gates. They're always closed in Northwest WA. (unless someone breaks them open)

Heard yesterday from security of Hancock that they will be leaving their gates closed that they usually open up the night before modern opens due to fire danger, but you will be able to access on foot!!!

Well I called Hancock and they said thereopening all the gates in the willapa unit. And there keeping it open until late buck.
I just need a unit ora,dc that keeps their gates closed. If anyone can tell me a couple they know of that'd be cool.  I know willapa pretzel but I was told earlier this yr all hates will be locked...

Sorry for the mislead info then, but that was the word I got from their only security guy from hancock in the willapa area.... Either the office secretary or he has been misinformed, just thought I would share what I was told.

Also was told by the local gamie yesterday that all of the gates of Hancock were going to be closed until further notice but could have walking access.  So I'm really not sure why the office is saying they will be open :dunno:

No problem. I wish they'd keep the gates closed, and allow walk in/bike only.

I can't find any open gates. I would be nice to be able to drive in a few miles at least. Then they could leave to side roads locked. I like to get away from the crowds also, but I like to at least be able to access an area.
I'd rather be hated for who I am, than loved for who I'm not!
