Opening day luck
« on: October 13, 2012, 11:36:51 AM »
So I managed to get a couple shots off this morning, took 2 ringneck hens down. 2nd one almost landed on my wifes lap in the boat. Saw hundreds of ducks, but the IDIOT sky busting guys that set up 30 yards from me were shooting at anything withing sight so didnt have a lot of chances.  :bash:

Had the wife out and didnt wanna cause a scene with her there. Wasnt going to post pics cause everyone knows what ringnecks look like but was impressed with the new choke so had to post em. Got a bennelli long range choke from my brother and tried it out today, the duck was at about 35 yards flying strait on, left a good shot pattern on it :chuckle:

congrats...same here out on JBLM today.  though they weren't 30 yrds from us.  we were lucky enough to get 3 birds (1 fat mallard drake) thanks to us sticking it out through the rain squals (the skybusters must have left by then).

Good luck the rest of the season
