NEED HELP!! Ritzville, Kahlotus area hunting, help a beginner
« on: October 17, 2012, 08:03:05 PM »
So opening weekend backfired, tried to get a first time hunter a shot. Too many hunters in areas I scouted and other land closed. I looked in the regs and found a couple units that are any deer. Kahlotus and Ringold, any white tail deer and Ritzville any white tail buck. If any one would be generous enough to point me in the right direction it would be much appreciated by me and the first time shooter. She is itching to find a deer and I am stuck trying to find her one  :dunno: So much for hunting for myself  :bash: Im not looking for private land or asking to hunt your land, just public roads with land. She can walk, so that is not an issue. Once again thanks

Good luck, hardly any public land out there.  There is some huntable land in ringold but good luck finding a white tail there.  These aren't really areas to just go hunt, these areas take lots of scouting and knocking on doors.  Good luck though

I have not hunted either of those units, but I have never seen a whitetail that area.  Not saying they arent there, but it could very well be a hard task to find one.  :twocents:

There is plenty of feel free to hunt. Leaving Washtucna, heading towords Ritzville, drive for about five minutes and you will see feel free to hunt one your right. There is a gravel pit that you need to take a right, right before it. That feel free to hunt goes on for miles.
Aim small, miss small.
