Dayton Deer Season Success!!
« on: October 20, 2012, 12:48:27 PM »
We had a team of 5.  We ended up with a chocolate color phase bear first thing opening morning.  Then I shot a nice 5x5 muley at 350 yards.  The next day we filled a doe tag that one of our disabled hunters had.  And then we ended with a 4x4 whitetail on monday.  Was a great deer season.  Cant wait for next year!!!

Congrats on all the success. That's a beautiful bear!

Im thinking about doing a shoulder mount on the muley.  Its a fairly descent size buck. One of my largest.  I will need to buy a cape though.  I rough measured it at about 130"  Does that seem about right?  It has pretty good mass too

Good looking deer, I would bet around 130 is pretty solid on him. Cant see the back forks very well but I think you should be pretty close at 130.
