Well, Ice it sounds like you speak from experience.  I never enter the backcountry with less that a lb. of butter.  Takes a lot to get you by.  We use it for everything.  Wish we could brought bacon, too.  Used two cubes on this trip.  You can grease your boots with what's left!   :tup:

Hah! I hear ya! I don't think I ever brought enough butter along on a high lake trout trip! :chuckle:

that reminds me of this lake way back in the Pasayten i backpacked into when i was a teenager

Thanks for the pictures.  Great stuff.  We used to do this back in the days of Conifer Basketball Camp and later in Montana.  Yikes!!, that could date a guy.
