Saw a coyote on the far hill at the 600 yd mark looking around for mice, so I thought this would be a good  opportunity to see what sound would peak his interest.  After a long period of him just sitting there listening to the call, he finally got bored and started walking again.  That's when I got to watch him dance.   :chuckle:  Next time I'll go prone and then we'll see who dances.  (No comment Falfire)

I'm starting to get a little spooked.  Last year during the last week of October, I would see 5-8 coyotes a day.  When I woke up this morning, I have been looking but haven't seen a coyote in a week! :yike:  (Hearing them doesn't count)

Anyway,  I now have seen 2 dogs and the 204 is batting 1000.  They are both going to be the ground work for a new pile soon.  But....I am very nervous of the lack of coyotes around.

Gringo
Yeah ...you killed all of them last year  :yike: :dunno: :chuckle: Or you killed to many females ...Yeah thats it  :chuckle:

It is funny you mention that because he is actually getting blamed  for a mouse outbeak in the area because he shot too because he shot too many yotes last year...

O and after what seemed like a bummer day we landed #2 & #3. The other 3 we shot today werent recovered due to remington 45 grn hollow points out of my 22-250. they hit and made them kiyi good but when trying to shoot others they would run off. will be brewing up a load this week so we dont give you guys a chance to catch up.

Sog, why don't you tell the little fun story that went with killing #1? You look kinda tired in the picture, as if you had hauled something a long ways....... :chuckle: :bash:

I'll take a stab at it, see those green trees wayyyyy in the background? Got her back there and Sog says do you have your camera? I said yeah and reached for my phone. Didn't have it and he didn't have his phone either. I said well, its going to be a long drag back, didn't want to lose a point.

I have found the fur to be in pretty decent shape. We just sent 9 dogs to the taxi yesterday and they were all accepted.

Here is one from today.

Gringo, We're experencing the same up here, Been hunting since Oct 1st on another contest and the coyotes have been few and far between. Hopefully it will pick up once the rain and warm weather quits
