Opening day!
« on: September 03, 2008, 02:40:45 PM »
Well my camera isnt all that good. I decided that after a little while of seeing alot of bucks I would start taking some pics or you guys.. I saw 25 legal bucks opening morning... I only got pics of a couple of them. My brother missed a nice 5x4(No Pic) My hunting buddie missed a nice 7x6 (There's a not so good Pic of him, Its really far away). I never took a shot all day, I kept getting spotted by either a buck or a doe.. Oh well, thats bow hunting for ya..

Those pics were taken on private land.. I should have been taking pics starting at opening light. As soon as it was light enough to see, I saw a group of 7 bucks and 6 of them were legal. Just about 200 yards from those bucks were 3 legal bucks.. It was crazy..... I've kinda of turned into a horn hunter since i switched to Bow... I've also kinda gotten lazy and really only want to go after wall hangers.... (I havent got a wall hanger in 2 years) But also, this is only my second year bow hunting... Im going back down there on Sunday and monday.. I'll take more pics for you guys.. The winter wheat is starting to come up, and by this weekend thats where the deer are going to be early in the morning...
