Late archery deer
« on: December 02, 2012, 04:16:11 PM »
Not much of a story. Hiked my but off for 4 days. saw lots of good buck. The morning of the 26th we all got out of bed late. Made some breakfast and headed up the hill. We had a plan for me to hike in from the bottom and the other guys to come in from the top. When I got to the spot I was going to hike in from I sat in my truck looking at the mountain I was going to go up and said to myself I didn't want to do it. So I headed up to where the other guys were. As I drove up the road I was looking for deer and spotted this guy with a doe. He stood there just looking at me. I got out of the truck and took the shot. I hit him good and he walked 50 yards and died in the bushes. Meat in the freezer!!

Best part about it was the road was below him 100 yards. had my buddy drive to the road below where he died and drug him right to the truck.
