Ran into a guy at a bazaar selling these rods yesterday ( see link below), if I already didn't have a nice pack rod I would have bought one.

You can even pull rod back in half and cast that way since it is a stainless steel spring, really useful in brushy bank areas of rivers and lakes.

They are awesome, I can put it in a pack bag and not worry about it getting broken. Casting definitely takes practice but it is amazing what you can do once you learn the tricks.
