I think your magazine feed lips need to be bent a tiny bit tighter to prevent the round from popping up.  I did that on my dad's Mk II clone (AMT Lightning) and that fixed most of the feeding issues. 

Later, replacing the extractor with a Volquartzen fixed the extraction issues.

Now it runs pretty well.

did you by chance field strip it and put it back wrong? 

If he got 200 rounds though it, I'm doubting that it was assembled incorrectly.

i didnt notice if this was a new thing or not. i cant see anything forcing 200 rounds with a constant jamming issue

Thanks guys for all the suggestions.  There is not really a consistant pattern with the jams.  I tried everything yesterday.  I loaded different amounts in the clip from single rounds to all ten and I couldn't nail down anything.  I will say one thing about this pistol, it is a shooter!  When it cycled it was a blast!  I plan on trying some standard velocity ammo in it at some point (if I can ever find any) for not only the jamming issue but I have also read of some problems with the older high standards frames cracking under high velocity pressures and I don't want that to happen!  If the standard velocity ammo doesn't solve the problem then I will attempt to "modify" the magazine.  Thank you all again!  One thing I have come to love about this site is it really doesn't matter what random question you ask there is someone on here that can answer it!  I use it more than google

just take it to a smith and get her fixed, usually a ramping issue with the ramp or mag.

If not already using them, try plated standard velocity bullets. If that doesnt work, try stretching the mag spring slightly. Next, try bending the spring lips ever so slightly. Next step would be a recoil spring replacement. Or, like Kracker said, just leave the work to a competent smith!

It is the randomness that makes me think the lips may have been opened up a fuzz. Perhaps someone ham fisted loading it in the past.

Steve I have a Taurus TCP 380 that you can put together wrong and it will shoot all day only occasionally jamming  yes it happens.
