Ocean shores marina?

has anyone fished that? i have fished the jetty and the beach but never the marina. im sure there will be perch and maybe bottom fish land rockfish. by looking at the picute of it. Any advice would be great thanks

not even bottom fish or rockfish on the break water or what ever its called i fish off one iis westport and do very very well with bottom fish like cabazon and greenling

If I remember right, the bottom is very sandy there, not rocky like westport.

i fished there years ago and only caught the occasional flounder bull head. Dont recall doing any good on crab either.

Used to see guys salmon fishing from the beach way back then but don't know how they did  :dunno:

Maybe fish the Jetty instead of the marina  :dunno:

my buddies parents use to crab at the marina and they said there was always little fish swimmin around the dock so theres gotta be bigger fish in there

surf perch and sole are the best to catch and if the bottom is sandy thats good for me haha. yeah if there are little fish there are always bigger fish

The marina is a mud flat at low tide. Walk out damon point on the north side, half mile or so, you will be heading east, as it starts turning to the south there is a ledge for a hundred yards or so, drops off to 15-40 foot, I would try to walk and cast for that hundred yards and try to get over the ledge. I have marked fish in there when crabing, they were on the ledge so they might be rock fish :dunno:. I would hit it on low tide. Good luck.
