Deer Hunting in Clark County?
« on: April 24, 2013, 04:00:47 AM »
Hey I'm from MI but I'm moving to Clark County area this spring. Just wondering what the hunting is like in that area. Any whitetails or mostly blacktail? Is there much public hunting land?

It's area you're looking at BT, although you'll run across Mulies if you head east some. Lots of public land on the east side of the county. Good luck.

Thanks for the info! Hopefully i can put a "rage in the cage" on a nice blacktail.   :tung:

Pretty much all black tail over here. You can pretty much forget hunting the Battle Ground unit. There is virtually no public land, but good news is there are plenty of any Buck units that border it. Just read the regs very well and buy a discovery pass. I hate them but its better than a ticket...........  :bash:

Otherwise welcome to the area and happy hunting!!!!   :hello:

Better leave the rage in MI;  not going to do you much good legally in WA.  I lived in Clark County for about 10 years growing up.  There are blacktail around, of which I have seen some nice ones, but only a few that were not in a spotlight or headlights.  It is beautiful the few times it is not raining; you will need rain gear for sure.
