tips on bringing coyotes closer?

i have been hunting mainly fields and the coyotes come to the edge and stop, no closer which usually several hundred yards. what tips to get them to come closer to the call. i am putting a mojo critter with the caller.

lower the call sounds and use some mouse squeeks, but watch your wind and really watch your movements.

Call the shaded areas, a lot of times they feel more comfortable and will come to the edge of the shade rather than the edge of the field. Maybe get rid of the critter? Have you tried without it? Hide your call so that they have to look to find the sound.

As soon as you see a coyote, stop calling and lip squeek them in when they stop. Note: Some coyotes (esp. this time of year) are educated and won't come closer no matter what you try.

place your stands where they will have to show themselves at close distance to investigate. I.E brushy corridors, timber ect. I bow hunt and use this to bring them within range
