at around $160 bucks a pop these crates are an absolute bargain compared to those crappy air kennels. ruff tuffs are all I use any more.

the plastic is very thick and you can bolt tie downs to them.

FFWD to the 1:40 mark to watch one get thrown out of the back of a truck

Im glad the dog is doing alright and you are going to find a solution

Pretty impressive...Short trips are on the line, longer ones in the crate... Those look like some BEEFY crates!

you really have to see them in person to appreciate them. the doors come off very easily and will open from either left or right, that alone makes them worth it.

I have the double door versions which offer the most versatility, especially if you ever need to put one in a compact car for a vet trip!

I believe truck vault in Sedro now carries them under a different name.

What size do you use for you dogs? Would thier "intermediate" work for most retrivers in the 70-80lb range? At 160$ its not as expensive as i might have thought considering most of the other crates run $80-$120 for much less sturdy crates...

my labs (75 - 80 ish Lbs) fit perfectly in the intermediate. I wouldn't want much larger really.

this video really says it all

Dogs can be smart. That said they are not smart enough to associate jumping out of the truck with you.
Update: he seems to be doing well. Has his front shoulder wrapped up to heal. Hopefully no surgery is required. I took him a smoked beef bone last night, he was happy to see me. I was afraid he would shy away from me but he didn't. I am going to either crate them up or put anchors in my bed. Pretty sure the anchors are the way to go.
