New Powder

Anyone have experience with Winchester 760 powder?

Thinking of loading 30.06 and 30-30 with it.

I have used it a lot in 22-250, very high speed and good accuracy, but also quite temp sensitive.

I can fix that if you were.

Not storage, outside shooting temp. I found there was a big pressure spread from winter shooting to summer shooting.

Some powders are more temperature stable than others.  I've found that the Ramshot powders are quite tolerant of temperature extremes, and the newly re-introduced IMR powder, due to the demand of many benchrest shooters, 8208XBR is very temperature stable.  I use it almost exclusively in my 20 LBC, (6.5 Grendel necked down to .204), and the .17's.  Don't know how it would work in larger calibers--I don't shoot them.

It will be a new powder for me. Nuthin else is available.

Got the new powder today. Loaded up some test rounds.
Previous reloads stuck in the chamber after firing or wouldn't chamber at all. So I picked up an OAL gage after reading other posts.
Load data says C.O.L. 3.25. OAL gage reads 3.33..
Loaded 4 rnd at 3.31,4@3.25, 4@3.26, 4@3.27, and 4@3.28.
My brother and I have the same guns, Rem. 710, 30-06.
We both agree the 3.31 length shot more accurate in both guns.

Why would the load data be so far shorter?

All the rnds chambered and extracted perfect.

I have noticed that I have a bunch of brass that won't feed completely in my sizing die. They go about 2/3 in and stick. Others go full length.

Any help is appreciated.

I have used it before but like said it does seem to be temp sensitive.

Definitely a hotter load than H4895.
I loaded 150 gr PSP bullets for the tests. pushed by  54 gr- the recommended start load.
It felt like I was shooting my 180 gr factory rnds.
