Peaches ridge access
« on: July 20, 2013, 10:38:51 PM »
My buddy drew an any bull tag in peaches. He lives in Clarkston so I said I would do some scouting for him this summer since I live closer but I have never been in that unit, we hunt Naneum. Could someone please tell me where I can access this unit? Thanks

I don't know that unit very well but I believe most of it is National Forest so access shouldn't be a problem at all. Most gates should be open unless they're fighting fires.

Has there been any road repair work done in the last year or so. Last time I was in there the roads were all sorts of nasty plus a few were washed out and closed. I popped a tire about 3 miles from pavement and had to limp out on my spare.
Fish hard, hunt harder!

Access is not a problem. Roads all over the unit. Use the search feature

Go over Chinook pass, then head up the Little Naches river, on your left. All National Forest.

lower than little naches road is mostly closed do to slides and lack of funding for repair. The i90 side should all be open.

Have the tag also. Flew the unit last week, saw 9 branch bulls. Think a few would be shooters.

Get on the Shoestring jeep trail. Follow that all the way to Buck Meadows in your jeep or ATV.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

Roads that are washed out up chinook will be fixed ether this year or next.  The big bulls are not near roads.
not true.   this was killed 123  yards from the road.
