new to hunting and looking for a mentor
« on: August 20, 2013, 05:49:37 PM »
Hi all,

I've been interested in hunting for a while and did hunter's ed just over a year ago in California. I've now lived in Olympia for a year, and finally have the time and resources to hunt this fall. I am looking for a teacher or mentor. I'm not set on a specific style or game, just interested in hunting with someone who is willing to take the time to teach. I'm 26 and employed (environmental research) ,and I've spent a decent amount of time backpacking. But I grew up in the suburbs of NYC and hunting definitely was not in my family.

Thanks for any reponses
-A
