Mine has been outside taking pictures for a month at 50% with no problems. I use those green rechargeable batteries from Radio Shack.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

dont buy....
do some research..they are a bad deal.
Ive had mine for 3 months and it just took a crap.
wont turn on and wont power up even with brand new batteries.
been on the phone a few times with customer service and even spoke with Kevin Mecham via facebook and basically they told me that they have had problems with their cameras and dont have many ways to fix the problems yet.

had mine set up two years ago.  started off GREAT!  tons of pics, quick to wake up... then later in the year (still early/hot), even with fresh batteries, it stopped waking up... my daughter and I watched a group of deer (5 or so) come in, mill around for 30 minutes at the bait site, then leave and there were no pics of those deer.  the cam's been the store room ever since...    :bash:

Go online and google Primos 46 problems. You can reset them I do believe. I've done that before with other cameras and had no problems after I
reset it.

had the same issue with one i bought in spring of 2012, Used it all summer-january. then took it down. Then put it back out this spring thinking there were no issues, comeback 3 months later and find that it took regular pictures for about 2 weeks then all of the sudden just kept snapping pictures till it reached about 8k (32gb card) and then the batteries died. So i put fresh ones in and it wouldnt power on and every so often it would turn on but then immediately shut off. Called the customer service number and they directed me to send it in. So I did a week ago and have yet to hear anything. Says to allow for a few weeks so well see how it turns out. Thinking of going back to moultrie cameras or trying out the walmart tasco's
