Filled open seat hunting modern firearms opening weekend
« on: September 06, 2013, 11:44:49 AM »
I'm offering to anyone new to hunting, new to the state or just needs a hunting partner to share costs.

Myself and 2 others buddies and I will be hunting modern firearms opening weekend and I have an open seat in the truck, a bed in the trailer and a spot by the campfire.

I will be leaving Marysville on Thursday October 10th around 5 pm, and returning on Monday the 14th sometime just after dark.  We will be hunting east of the mountains, for bear and mulies.

If interested shoot me a PM and we can discuss further.

I will ask a couple guys I'm stationed with.  They are trying to get into hunting.  I'll have them send a PM if they can get the time off.  What an offer.  I was offered a chance to camp/hunt with a couple guys for the whole season.  Had that not have happened, I'd jump all over this.

Thanks a lot!!

That's an outstanding offer. I am new to hunting. I live on the westside but if I didn't already have plans to visit my uncle in the chelan area I would definitely fill that spot. The people on here are awesome. Can't wait til I have tue chance to repay and pay it forward. Good luck this season. Waiting for pics!

"Open seat, bed, and spot by the campfire."

Very generous of you, but since you're offering to share your bed as well, maybe you should specify male or female?

Or do you not have a preference?  :dunno:

funny guy.   :chuckle: An open seat(singular) trucks seats 6, bed tent trailer sleeps 7 adults or 2 adults 6 kids depending on age with two kings 1 double and 1 twin so no need to share beds, plus the only other person I share my bed with is my other half.  If you snore it's outside with you.

I wish something like this came up when I was starting out over here... I have since coyote hunted my way to some primo Mule ranchland.

I am trying to get into duck/goose so we will see how that goes. I have been giving up some of my grouse spots though we will see how paying it forward goes.

I have had a great response and have narrowed the choice down to 2 members.  I will respond to all those who have messaged me before the end of the week.

How to choose between them :dunno:

Ha!! Reminds of the joke about the Cheechokoe in the Alaska Bush. His neighbor, a big burly sort of guy knocks at his cabin door one day and invites the greenhorn to a party at his place a few miles away. The greenhorns eyes light up with excitement since he hasn't had anyone to talk to in a long time and thinks it would be fun. He asks the big guy if there's gonna be some drinking going on and he says; yeah lottsa drinkin and might be some fightin and a little sex too. Then the new then the newbie asks if there's going to be girls there too and the big guys answers with; nope just you and me. :chuckle: :chuckle:

received a response from the gentleman that will be going opening weekend.  He is stoked about going, looking forward to getting together before the hunt so he and the rest of the party have a chance to meet.

He is a longtime outdoorsman spending countless hours with his father fishing, and has recently completed his hunters ed.  Our deer camp may not be as extravagant as some others on here, but it should be a positive experience that he will remember for a long time.

Very cool and looking forward to hearing of a great experience.  Please post an update after the hunt.  There's hope for some of us humans.  :IBCOOL:

How things change, the gentleman who was to go opening weekend had a unexpected expenditure for the continuing education of his daughters  so will not be able to attend deer camp this year. Dadx6 will always be welcome in deer camp, should his schedules allow maybe he and I will try for the black tails until elk season starts.

That being said, I've extended the offer of both weekends and if he can the whole week to Cap. Silver.  We had a meet and greet this past Saturday, and am happy that he will be attending deer camp this year, and hopefully for years to come should he choose to.  My buddies and I are looking forward to hearing his stories and getting a different perspective on life and anything else we can talk about anything and everything.

hrd2fnd,

You're very kind to have extended the opportunity. Again, thank you for your consideration. I'm sorry to have had to back out. Perhaps another time.
