Blacktail bucks, starting to move!
« on: October 18, 2013, 10:04:13 PM »
It seems like in just the past couple of days that the blacktail bucks here in Thurston County are starting to think about girls.  This week I have been working until anywhere from 2:00 am to 3:30 am and have been seeing bucks on my way home that are starting to swell and a couple that were actually pushing does.  My daughter passed on a nice 2 point last weekend, she might have had the right idea to wait another week or so.  She wants at least a 3pt to better her 2pt from last year.  With what I am seeing this week, the bigger boys are about to make an appearance!

My Daughter and I rattled up a buck yesterday evening but with the 15' jack firs and 8' scotch broom, she couldn't get a shot.  Gonna let it simmer down for a day or so and try it again.
