Doe urine
« on: November 02, 2013, 08:59:52 AM »
Does doe urine really work?  I have a friend who says it does but I never read of anybody using it--is it a secret thing with each hunter or what? I'm new to the craft and trying to learn the ropes--I didn't have a papa to take me hunting so all has to start here.
 All advised welcome.
Thanks fellow hunters!!!

Yes, it works but only if used correctly and the situation is right.

Definitely works. Soak some on the end of a tampon, tie the tampon to a string and to your belt and make sure to wear rubber boots. Doe and buck piss both work well on blacktail.

Make sure the tampon isn't one of those scented ones.  It messes up your scent bomb to add "summer lilac" or "new car" smell to thr mix!

Works well.
My old boss shot a masher last year dragging the old tarsal glands from a rutted buck the year prior.
Wifey shot her buck this year 10 min after daylight that was running down a estrus trail laid about 200 yrds long a hr prior to day break in a cross wind manner.

I'm a believer.
Seems to work best in areas with a high buck to doe ratio.

Dang decoy just rolled over and died.  No challenge at all.  Where can I use all of these hormones?

Back when late buck opened thanksgiving day in 121 I first used Pete Rickard's doe in heat buck lure. There was about 6" of new snow and I put it on my wool paints and boots. I walked to a place to stand while the other hunters I was with hunted the woods if they jumped a buck I might get a shot as it moved by. As I stood there I looked down the trail I walked in on and there was this nice 4x4 with his nose in my tracks 30yds away. He died.

I'm going to go buy some feminine stuff at rite aid soon and get ready for late season.
I hope to bag a pig using this tips.
thanks guys!!
p.s. just a thought now--what if a hunter took a shower and used it as shampoo and body soap would that work as well. what you guys think??

Careful you might get something in the end. All pun intended!  :chuckle:
