Another Addy question
« on: November 12, 2013, 08:42:12 PM »
I've been looking at the assessors site for the area and it looks like there's a ton of private land there.  Is there any public land available to hunt ?  Also, i found a lot of land that says it's owned by the john hancock life insurance company - what's that all about ??  this is more a curiousity question as we have private property permission for an area.  Just looking to get more informed.

Directly across 395 is a ton of public. You will have to get aways west to find a lot of public on the west side of 395. Good luck

Hancock owns land all over the state, and as far as I know, most of it is open for hunting.

I've ended up in addy after going over Iron Mountain.  If you take sand canyon out of Chewelah, left on immel and right on Iron Mtn road im pretty sure its all public land back in there.  That being said I never saw much back in there but its huntable public land to my knowledge.

There is tons of Colville National Forest to hunt on around Addy. Buy a map and go hunting. Simple.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............
