112 and counting - Update: 90 days to go
« on: December 24, 2013, 07:55:27 PM »
Only just over 3 months until the opener.  Youth opener even sooner.  I'm already thinking about those chilly morning gobbles.  The days are already starting to get longer.  April will be here before long.

California opens on Mar 30, maybe we should plan a hunt there, that's only 87 days!

When do the regs for Spring Turkey normally come out?  And is the opener always on 4/15?

Not sure when they'll have the spring phamphlet out.  Probably mid to later Feb.
Spring as it currently is set up will start April 15 and run thru the end of May.
However there is a youths only season (under 16) that will start 7 to 13 days before the regular spring season. This year it will probably be April 5th & 6th.
