Great POV Elk Hunting Footage
« on: January 01, 2014, 01:54:08 PM »
Hey. Here is a 3 minute Film It Yourself Point of view elk hunting video my brother filmed and I edited. It is not a huge Blues Bull or anything, but it was a great hunt that you guys might enjoy. This was filmed with a Solvid CamStrap and a $250 camcorder (Panasonic HC-V500).   Be sure to watch in HD.

Good job! Good footage and shot.
Bring a GPS!  It's awkward to have to eat your buddies!

Wow.....   Very cool hunt.....  Capturing on film has to be tough.

That hill looked a wee bit steep.

They were both hits, but only one passed through. That was the exit side.

Cool, I saw where your level on your site fell off on the second shot.

Thanks for sharing.

Good eye! I had not noticed that yet. My brother is the hunter, and I don't even know if he knows when it fell off. I'll let him know. Thanks

It was definitely steep. Luckily brother Chris showed up to help pack him out.  And no, capturing it on film is not that tough; aside from the digiscope footage, all he had to do was put the CamStrap on and hit record.  Thanks for watching.
