I think the N. fork, and from Orofino down river is 28 inches or less to retain.  I could be wrong. Planning on giving it a shot here soon.

Hey time2hunt, I've heard the fishing has been good but the catch'n keep rules this year are brutal. Only allowed one clipped fish under 28 inches, no retention on the B-runs. You could call Camp, Cabin, and Home for a report. 208-750-1075. Tight lines, fishingfool :hello:

I was down there this past weekend.  Only saw one landed and I hooked one that got off. Talked to a drift boat and they hooked 6 and boated three drifting the main river down to Peck (though that boat ramp is now closed). One of the guys I was fishing with ended up hooking 2 on Monday but I was gone then. Log yard hole was most productive for bank fishing. Main river was iced over at slaughterhouse hole but is probably freed up now.

That's what I was thinking.  The people I have talked to said it was good before it froze up at the end of last week.  Now we have a pretty good sized melt off, so I would think you would be better to wait a week or so.  The catching has been good but the keeping is not with the rule changes in effect.
"Shoot the spike".  It's much easier to pack out!
