rock river nat match.. proper check of accuracy..
« on: January 31, 2014, 12:04:56 AM »
So while back I got an AR put together, with the Rock river national match upper half on it. (everything on the gun is RR except the lower reciever, including the two stage match trigger) i sighted it in with the iron sights, and it shot good. The other day i got the scope put on it, got it sighted in and shot a couple groups  at 100yds.. This thing will literally shoot one ragged hole, shots touching/ overlapping at 100yds. So yesterday I shot a couple groups with it at 200yds. three shots with the 77gr match load were under an inch, and the 55gr stuff was just over an inch.. this may well be the most accurate rifle I have ever owned or shot. And to think I avoided AR's for so many years...

I am not a huge RR fan but run a lot of the 2 stage triggers in my hunting AR'S. Glad to hear you caught the bug

My Dad used to swear they would never be as accurate as a bolt gun due to being an autoloader right up until he shot mine. That RR NM trigger makes them very easy to shoot doesn't it?
The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

I have a colt match delta elite AR, the first time I shot it was at 100yrds on paper. I took 3 shots and stopped to check nothing got knocked lose. But all 3 rounds went in the same hole upon closer inspection.

Accurate rifle, who says semi's can't be shooters!

H&F

It's great when a AR shoots that well. I also like the RR two stage, I use them in most of my AR's. Great middle of the road trigger for everything across the board, even with gloves on.

7mm08-18 yds on the black--100 on target never could get rem amo to shoot in any of my guns, hand load 3 rounds-150gr-blistic tip-46.5 H414.1200foot lbs out to 600yds,yes its better than normal, but pie plate out to 6 not a problem, wind is tough on slow and light rounds though.MY old AR wouldn't do that ,but is was free, rock river,s are not.
