Rifle Range with Chronometer
« on: April 30, 2014, 12:25:30 PM »
Hi,

I am developing a load for my .300 and was wanting to shoot through a chronograph.  Does anyone know of any ranges near Seattle that loans or rents them out?  Any help would be appreciated, thank you!

I don't know of any that do, but that's a really good idea! A range could probably make a couple extra bucks pretty easy by having one that folks could rent.

If you're a handloader, you'll probably find that the cost of one is a very wise investment that is justified quite easily.
Nature. It's cheaper than therapy.

I believe Kenmore has one, but it is probably restricted to the members range/use only.

I bought a Magnetospeed. I'm very happy with it. You have to obtain your chromo readings separately from accuracy shooting but that's a small price to pay for something you can use anywhere without a hassle.

I need just one more hunt and I'll be satisfied ... Really! Just one more...

The Plantation Range up in Bellingham does rent them.  The range goes 300 yards and is public.  A little out of your way though...

Cheap too,  I think it's only a buck to rent it.

Yeah, it's cheap for sure.  Just check their website or call 'em first, their schedule changes around a lot.

Kitsap Rifle and Revolver Club, just outside of Bremerton has one that they loan out for use at their range. Check their web site, gunsafety.org, before you go to make sure that the range is open and there are not any scheduled events, as well as for directions and phone number.
