Gee- by a show of hands how many on this site will be attending?  What, no hands in the air?  This is a true slice of the anti hunting/trapping community that's out there.  They aren't stupid, just very, very misguided.  Hope we don't have any hunter/trappers showing up to protest and make a scene that would put their little event on the map. (they would love that!)

No wolf hunting in Yellowstone anyway, so that's right where they belong.

If only WDFW served the interests of the sportsman.  :chuckle:

1. Restructuring the way state Fish & Game departments operate:
Western governors currently appoint agency commissioners, which essentially, tell the state Fish & Game Departments what to do. This is cronyism at its worst. State Fish & Game Departments are mostly funded by the sale of hunting/trapping/fishing licenses. These agencies are bound into serving the interest of "sportsmen" because it's the hand that feeds them. Modern funding mechanisms, application of the best-available science and genuine public involvement in decision making are sorely lacking in these institutions and it must be addressed. Another option would be to empower the federal government to manage all wildlife on federal public lands.

Aren't these guys on the Wildlife Commission?

:chuckle:  Predator-friendly beef.  Is that a cow that just lays down for the predators, doesn't kick or run?  :chuckle:

Certainly points out the caught in the middle position the western states fish and game departments are in.  Both sides think they should be impeached or abolished.  Like to see the funding alternative they have in mind.  Don't know about them, but for me, the paying customer always gets priority.

Interesting video the one about the secret war on wildlife.Especially the part about illegal herbicides and pesticides being used to kill predators by the federal government .Ironically enough sounds like what's happening to our wildlife in SW.WASHINGTON .

I personally thought the video on wolves changing rivers was pretty interesting. Kinda crazy how the introduction of wolves balanced the ecosystem. I guess you end up on the other end of the scale with no deer/elk and a ton of wolves.

Why don't they just keep yellowstone as their own personal wild elk farm and keep transplanting as necessary to keep up with lost numbers elsewhere?
