West Goat Rocks - Elk

My daughter drew the West Goat Rock rifle tag. I have stock have ridden in the unit some have not hunted it.  Will be hunting the last week of season (Sept 24th -30th).  Any advice is welcomed.

I drew one of the other four tags. Maybe I'll see you up there. Trying to get to know the area myself. I'm excited for this hunt. Good luck to her.

I have the goat tag maybe we can swap some pre scouting info. I will start ride that country in August

How experienced are you at hunting elk in the rut? Do you call elk at all? I would say if you get in the high country before season to scout the terrain, glass and do some calling you should be able to find some elk and get on a bull. Good luck and keep us posted on your progress.
