Takin the wife to get her first salmon, but where?
« on: October 16, 2014, 07:53:37 PM »
So I've finally convinced the wife to become a fisherwoman. Only problem is I'm new to salmon fishing myself. Where would be a good place to take her this saturday? Live about 20 mins from the nisqually, and 35 from the puyallup or carbon. Would either of these be good locations this weekend? Thanks in advance guys!

I would hit the chehalis above Montesano.   Hit it a few hours before low tide cast some blue foxes anything pink or yellow silvers are in.   Buddy caught 3 adults in 2 hours lat Saturday.  Single hook barb less.   You can access off of end of keys road guy guys have been doing well on the satsop also

Nisqually is pretty dead unless you fish the campground gravel bar area. So are the Puyallup and Carbon. Cowlitz or Satsop are better options.
