Anybody wanna buy an elk cape?
« on: September 30, 2014, 09:17:23 PM »
I killed a four point bull this year during the archery season.  I caped it out, no nicks, cuts or holes.  It is not the biggest cape but is in perfect condition.  My taxidermist said he would try to sell it for me but did not seem real optimistic, said it was not big enough. Anyone out there interested?  PM me if so.

Mike,

I am interested.  I will be meeting with a custom leather guy about some work I may want him to do for me.  I am thinking of using elk hide (Hair on) as part of a custom seat and bags for my Harley Davidson motorcycle.  If may idea is something that he can do then I will be needing a hide.  I do not want to use the bull hide that I have from my Colorado bull.  I will be heading your way on October 24th to set up elk camp above Ellensburg.  I will know Friday if he can work with it.  I will be in touch again next week and let you know.

I sent you a text this morning explaining where I am at as far as your hide.  I will be in touch one way or the other after November 2nd.
