Need public spot in GMU 133 (Roosevelt)
« on: October 15, 2014, 11:50:52 AM »
Hello Fellow Hunters, I am in need of a public hunting spot for tomorrow! In GMU 133. I have a doe tag to fill and tomorrow is my shot out of the gate. My private hunting land that I filled buck tags during Archery has been taken away so I'm out of spot to fill my already pre-arranged doe tag. Not looking for anybody's secret spot just a place to whack a doe with a Rifle and go home.  Plan on going to another public area east of Wilbur but it didn't produce one shootable deer last weekend a 2nd option sure would be appreciated!

Have any access to a boat? May just try knocking on farmers doors... or talking to people on the roads. Maybe one will let you hunt a doe.

Hawk Creek.  Hike out to the main river.  take a map (onx maps has been good to me out there) so you don't trespass, but a lot of land out there.
