Mashel Access:
« on: October 20, 2014, 01:16:15 PM »
I'm not the kind to ask for anything.......but I'm at a loss.  I drew an anterless deer tag for Mashel (654).  If you don't have an access pass about the only place I can find to hunt, that isn't private land or Hancock, is Elbe Hills State Forest.

As I was driving to a place I found to hike in at Elbe SF I saw a doe or two on the road.  Can't shoot on the road, so by the time I parked & got out it was gone in the thick stuff.  There's a couple of older clear cuts to watch but the ferns are 5' high and the reprod is even taller  :bash:

Not looking for a honey hole.  Just some general info, or someone to tell me I'm screwed if I don't have an access pass for Hancock.

Thanks

Ryan

I usually hunt in the pack forest but this years its weekend hunting only. There are deer in there and elk. Mashel only has three spots for the most part Kapowsin tree farm owned by Hancock, the Pack Forest, and Elbe Hills, it's a bit late to start knocking of doors for permission. So your options are buy a forest pass whatever amount Hancock wants this years, a discover pass, or limit yourself to Friday, Saturday, Sunday.
Now then, get your equipment—your quiver and bow—and go out to the open country to hunt some wild game for me.  Gen. 27:3
