vail deer hunters... question

Did a search and found some old topics on elk in vail. Has anyone seen any elk out there this year while you were deer hunting? I saw a cow opening morning trotting down the 1000 mainline. First and only elk i have ever seen in vail.

I haven't been in there since they started to charge to go in there, but, a couple years ago I saw a nice 5x5 about 10 1/2 miles up the 1000 road over by what I've heard called "Baldy Mountain" on the second Saturday of Modern Deer.
