Bonaparte ice thickness???

Back home for the week and hoping to do some ice fishing.   My old man has got some mixed reports. .. does anyone know how thick the ice is?

I would say the ice is almost nil. It hasn't been cold enough to freeze anything. Curlew Lake isn't frozen, except maybe around the edges.
I couldn't care less about what anybody says..............

I haven't been there personally, but drove over 20 twice in the last week and will say campmeat is right. Not much ice if any, and I personally wouldn't risk it even if there were ice with this warm winter we've had. :twocents:

Well I have my doubts too, but it stays a lot cooler in that canyon. I think we're going to go check it out and drill some test holes.  I'll post an update tomorrow afternoon.

I don't think you'll be able to drill any holes. It's been in the upper 30's and the snow isn't even here hardly. Good luck if I'm wrong.
