Start them young!
« on: January 02, 2015, 07:40:57 PM »
Took my daughter for her first quail hunt today. She told me she wanted to go for a hike. So of course we went hiking somewhere it was legal to carry a shotgun! Didn't really think we would get into birds but Dakota had a perfect point on a pair of quail. I dropped one and Peyton yelled "you got it!"

This little four year old has been with me to shoot a grouse, a pheasant, and now a quail. Pretty lucky girl considering she only lasts about 30 minutes and we only hike about a half mile each time. She was a trooper today dealing with the cold temps.

Start them young before it's too late is my strategy. So far so good :)

Lol that quail looks like a chicken in her hands! Nice job!
The deer are exactly where you find them, and no where you dont!
