Foxpro's in Idaho
« on: January 21, 2015, 12:39:39 PM »
Anybody know if e-callers are legal in Idaho for calling wolves?

:fire.:

" In today's instant gratification society, more and more pressure revolves around success and the measurement of one's prowess as a hunter by inches on a score chart or field photos produced on social media. Don't fall into the trap. Hunting is-and always will be- about the hunt, the adventure, the views, and time spent with close friends and family. " Ryan Hatfield

Yes, it's legal to use electronic callers.

On a side note this is good info to have

Quote
Evidence of Sex: Must be left attached to the hide of any wolf
taken. External evidence of sex (scrotum, penis, or testicles
for males, or vulva for females) must be left naturally attached
to the hide until the mandatory check requirement has been
satisfied. Either sex may be taken.

Skin them in the field and just pack out the fur with evidence of sex attached.  No need to lug out the whole carcass.

Quote
Retrieving Meat: Hunters and trappers are not required to
retrieve meat from a harvested wolf. For tips on skinning a
wolf, contact a regional Fish and Game office.

That will let a guy go a lot deeper in
