Dog 37 or 38 ?
« on: March 06, 2015, 08:53:02 AM »
Shot a coyote (37) the morning of Dec. 13th in the lower pasture after the shot it was flippin around and  disappeared into a  fold in the ground went down after breakfast to check and he was not to be found. Hair and blood in several places just figured he crawled off and died so I didn't have to deal with  it. Fast foreward  to Feb. 27th lookin out the bedroom window  in the am I spot coyote # 38 I grab my Tikka 223 and put him to sleep. I drove out into the pasture before leaving  for work and discovered this dog with only 3 legs. Now I'm thinking this is the same dog from Feb. 27th. Hes only the 6th male. He appears to be not only surviving but prospering. There were 2 other dogs in the time from Dec. 13th - Feb 27th that got warning shots do to shooter error. I live in a target rich environment.

Wow, sure does look to be doing well on those 3 legs! Nice job on doing your part to keep them in check.

How long was the hair you found back in December?
Kindly do not attempt to cloud the issue with too many facts.
