Any of you snake hunters been out much or had much success?? 

I'm no fan of rattlesnakes but I enjoy seeing the pics of the dead ones.  :tup:

We killed one about two weeks ago up in Slide Ridge.

I was just down in Centerville for the home with heroes 5K Run and Gun and ran up on one in the campground. Took his head off with a SOG hatchet that one of my friends won in the raffle.

That's a nice one. Lots of snakes at the Feathers climbing area by the Gorge Ampatheater. Plus you get to scare all the hippies that are out there rock climbing. I have caught, shot, stomped, whacked lots of snakes in my life and ate a few as well. Not to bad, just not that good either. I killed one this Saturday while pulling Rye with a friend.

Man, that hatchet handle looks mighty SHORT! You must have been lightning fast with that blade.

I still have not made it out to try and whack rattlers yet. I need to get on that. I want to make a few hat bands, and eat some.

Netcoyote- I actually threw a meat cleaver at it first and clocked it square on the head dazing it then moved in and chopped it off.
