While elk hunting in futility, I met a family with 4 bulls in 3 days. The teenage kids got lost while driving to a spot int the afternoon. Two bulls were standing in a field by the road. Two down. The mother sees a bull cross a clear cut and she goes up and over a rise and there is bull #3. The father is gathering firewood near camp when bull #4 walks by.
Why can't I have this kind of luck? This was all in public land (non permit).
In 2009 I am hoping to had some luck rub off when we shook hands in congratulations.
