Rabbit Hunting on the West Side
« on: January 02, 2009, 01:04:56 AM »
I was wondering if anyone had any ideas on where to run the dog on rabbits around the Lacey area?  Are there any good rabbits in the Capitol Forest area?, and do they run up high or stay down in the lower areas?

Go find a brushy clearcut in capitol forest and you'll get some rabbits going.

Just be aware that Capital Forest is very slippery right now with all the wet snow. i was up there yesterday in my jeep and had a togh time getting around, and i locked up on l 4 wheels. spent a lot of time sliping around.

There's no place in Capital Forest with rabbits.  ;)

Seriously now, CF has a lot of hare up there, good running too.  Let us know how you do, maybe I'll run into you up there sometime.
