Clamming in Snohomish County
« on: June 17, 2015, 08:22:33 AM »
I would like to get out and get some steamer clams, but am having trouble determining if there are any open beaches near me (or if those beaches actually have clams on them). I get on the WDFW website and look up the beaches and they all say closed, but havent been updated since 2010. Anyone knows where I can find current information on these beaches or if I will just be wasting my time trying to get clams here I would really appreciate a point in the right direction.

I don't think I've ever heard of a beach in our area that has clamming.

Willapa bay has some great steamer clams. That's what I had for dinner tonight

All the public beaches in Snohomish County are closed for clamming.

If you are willing to go up to Camano Island there are a few public beaches that are open and have good populations of steamers.
