Nice boat sled.

If you take a run up to Camano State park there's some easy spots for crabbing in both directions or across the channel near Seal Island and Greenbank farm on Whidbey.

I like Hat Island off Everett and set a few near Mukilteo yesterday.

Congrats. Those are nice boats. I had a 16' Bay Runner with a 25 horse Suzuki on it and it was perfect for crabbing and salmon fishing on reasonably calm days.

One thing I learned about the Bay Runner is that the really deep V on the front of the boat acts like a rudder and can throw you around quite a bit. One time a wake from another boat was quartering too me as I was heading out to the fishing grounds. The front of the Bay Runner grabbed that wake and spun the boat around faster that you would believe. Mostly my fault for not realizing that this could happen, but also something that I had never ever experienced in heavier fiberglass boats. I think the combination of extremely light weight and a very deep V make this possible.

We have since sold that boat and are likely going to get something with a windshield and canvas so the wife and 2 daughters will be more likely to come out with me then!
