seems like when I get that close, I'm usually seeing tailfeathers going over the ridgeline.

 I really like that pic of the covey on the ground! I just hope my dog's going to be ok. Took him for a run last nite (w/ me on the bike) and he injured himself. Limping around now. Gotta get into the vet to get diagnosis. 

He's been going on runs for the past 5-6 yrs and he's usually good for 15-20 miles a day on weekends by mid October.

Up for 2016! How are the chukar and hun hatches looking?
In the areas I've been quail, grouse and turkey hatches look pretty good.
